This Privacy Policy explains how KREWSR (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use www.krewsr.com and related mobile applications (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

KREWSR is a Jamaican vehicle rental service. We offer cars supplied by independent vehicle owners (“Hosts”) to customers (“Renters”), collect payment for bookings, and pay Hosts for supplying their vehicles.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

Account details (name, username, email, phone number, password)
Profile and listing information (vehicle details, photos, pickup location, rates)
Identity / verification documents where required for Hosts or safety checks
Booking details (dates, messages with other users, special requests)
Support requests and correspondence

2.2 Payment information

Renter payments are made to KREWSR and processed by licensed third-party payment providers. KREWSR does not store full card numbers on our servers. Payment providers may collect billing details required to process your transaction securely. We keep records of each payment, refund, and the amount owed to the Host.

2.3 Host payout information

To pay Hosts, we collect payout bank details (bank, branch, name on account, account number, account type and currency) and, where provided or required, the Host’s Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN). We also keep a ledger of each Host’s earnings, fees, refunds, adjustments, and bank transfers. Full account numbers are visible only to KREWSR staff who process payouts; Hosts see a masked version.

2.4 Automatically collected data

Device, browser, IP address, and approximate location
Usage logs, pages viewed, and crash/diagnostic data
Cookies and similar technologies for session management, preferences, and security

3. How we use your information

To create and manage accounts and listings
To process bookings, payments, and refunds
To calculate Host earnings, send Host payouts by bank transfer, and provide earnings statements
To enable messaging between Hosts and Renters
To verify identity, prevent fraud, and protect platform safety
To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, security alerts)
To improve the Service and respond to support requests
To comply with legal and banking / merchant requirements

4. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

Other users as needed to complete a booking (e.g., Host/Renter name, pickup details, messages)
Payment processors and banks to process Renter payments and refunds, send Host payouts from our business account, and comply with banking and anti-fraud rules
Tax and regulatory authorities where we are required to report payments or provide records
Service providers that host our website, send email, store files, or provide analytics/security
Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions, security, and preferences. Disabling cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

6. Data retention

We retain account, booking, and transaction records for as long as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, meet legal/tax/banking obligations, and enforce our agreements. Payment, payout, and Host ledger records are kept for at least seven (7) years for accounting and tax purposes. You may request account closure by contacting us; some records may be retained where required by law, and any outstanding Host balance will be settled before closure.

7. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit and industry-standard practices to protect systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. See also our Security page.

8. Your choices

Update profile and privacy preferences in your account settings
Hosts can view and update payout bank details on their Earnings page
Opt out of non-essential marketing emails where offered
Request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal data by emailing admin@krewsr.com

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International users

KREWSR is operated for use primarily in Jamaica. If you access the Service from outside Jamaica, you understand that information may be processed in Jamaica and other locations where our providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
